Krishnamacharya Yoga

(Founded by TKV Desikachar)

The Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram was founded by TKV Desikachar, son and student of T Krishnamacharya in 1976 as a tribute to his father and mentor.Since its inception, the KYM has always stood for quality teaching respecting the needs, interests, abilities and secular faiths of its students.
The KYM has played a significant role in popularizing yoga as a holistic science that stems from a well founded theoretical basis, rather than as mere exercises for physical fitness. The focus of all activities at the KYM is that anyone who wants to can practice yoga, that is specifically suited to his or her needs, and experience its multiple benefits.
My second thorough formal training helped me to further deepen my knowledge and experience of yoga both as a teacher and practitioner
